for Verizon Test Prep and More!
Many students prefer to learn with the guidance and support
from an experienced instructor. FutureLink offers instructor-led,
after-hours classes at Verizon work-sites when a group of
employees express interest. The following classes are available:
Customer Contact – PED
Qualifier I
am ready to sign up to take this class!
Learning is easier and more fun in this class where students
engage in interactive role-play and learn effective methods
for customer service success with the help of a new real-life
video series called Just a Call Away. Prepare for the secondary
tests CART-M and CCE-R and earn a certificate to update your
PED form. Class meets 3 hours once a week for 5 weeks.
FLMC-R Prep

Your instructor will help you learn the material and guide
you through practice tests to prepare for the FACS-LACS secondary
test required for many technical positions at Verizon. Class
meets 2½ hours a week for 3 weeks. (Test Prep only.
Not a PED qualifier.)
TMC Prep I
am ready to sign up to take this class!
Your instructor will help you learn the material and guide
you through practice tests to prepare for the Technician Minicourse,
a secondary test required for many technical positions at
Verizon. Class meets 2½ hours a week for 3 weeks.(Test
Prep only. Not a PED qualifier.)
Introduction to Telecommunications
Technology – PED Qualifier

An essential course for anyone interested in a technical position
at Verizon! Revised in 2004 and customized for Verizon, this
basic course teaches telecommunication concepts, and is designed
to help you improve your ability to read technical material
as you learn. Materials for this course now include a comprehensive
overview of electricity and binary numbers, topics that may
be easier to learn with the help and support of an instructor.
Earn a certificate of completion to update your PED when you
achieve an average score of 75% on the final test. If you
are unable to attend a class, please call 1-800-497-5465,
option 5. Class meets 2½ hours once a week for 9 weeks.
UTB-R Prep I
am ready to sign up to take this class!
The Universal Test Battery - Revised is the primary selection
test for all associate positions at Verizon. Your instructor
will help you focus on improving skills in the areas where
your needs are greatest. Skills tested on the UTB-R include
reading, spelling, basic math, number series, spatial visualization,
and clerical speed and accuracy. Class meets 3 hours once
a week for 8 weeks.(Test Prep only. Not a PED qualifier.)
Workplace Spanish

am ready to sign up to take this class!
In this basic Spanish course you will learn to pronounce important,
frequently used customer service terms in Latin American Spanish
and build speaking confidence through practice. This course
uses a non-traditional approach to language instruction. Please
note that the content is very basic and will not prepare non-Spanish
speaking employees for the Verizon bilingual test. Class meets
for 2 hours twice a week for 4 weeks. (Exploratory course
only. Not a PED qualifier.)
