In the Public Sector services of CAEL much of our work is around the alignment of workforce and economic development with education and training. We do this through regional analysis and strategic planning for our clients. For example some of our clients are looking at how they can better connect program development at the secondary and post secondary level with growing industry targets (current or future) of their economy. In Jacksonville the Chamber of Commerce is taking a close look at this alignment and are working with CAEL and our partners to develop an actionable economic development implementation plan that engages not just the local education and employer communities but also the residents themselves. We’d like to know more about what our other members and interested readers are doing in their communities to better connect with their education, workforce and economic development counterparts. If you have interesting models or program structures in place that help you connect the dots in your region please share them with the group. We look forward to hearing about the great work we know is going on out there.
