The Adult Learner Inventory
The Adult Learner Inventory (ALI) was developed by CAEL and
Noel-Levitz, a leader in student satisfaction surveys.
This inventory measures the levels of satisfaction of adult
learners and ranks what they think is important.
Using ALI, adult students evaluate your effectiveness by
rating statements such as:
- This institution offers strategies to help me cope with
the multiple pressures of home, work, and my studies.
- I can receive credit for prior learning derived from my
previous
life and work experiences.
- This institution makes support services available at convenient
times and places.
These measurements show you how you can better meet the
needs of your adult learners, as well as what issues should
receive top priority.
Conveniently Web-based with two versions
Students complete the survey via the Internet, giving adult
learners added flexibility in responding.
Choose from two versions of the Adult Learner Inventory:
One for four-year institutions and one for two-year institutions. Both include 47 items rated for importance and satisfaction.
The Adult Learner Inventory is administered by
Noel-Levitz. Complete sample surveys can be viewed on
their website.
You can also examine national data from the Adult
Learner Inventory.
