To assist [Name of your Institution] in serving our adult learners with the most current information pertaining to Prior Learning Assessment and other aspects of adult learning, I would like to attend the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL’s) 2009 International Conference. The theme of the conference is “Working Together to Make Learning Lifelong” and it will take place November 18-20, in Chicago, IL. 

The conference brings together more than 400 diverse and enthusiastic participants who share ideas about how to expand lifelong learning opportunities for adults.  There will be more than 30 concurrent workshops and roundtables as well as four plenary sessions that will discuss lifelong learning issues and programs within many different sectors. Below, I have listed some of the topics that will be covered:

  • Designing and Delivering Accelerated Programs
  • Assessing Prior Learning
  • Marketing and Supporting Adult Learning Programs
  • Improving Institutional Policies and Practices to Meet the Needs of Adult Learners
  • Partnering with Business, Government, and Labor to Expand Opportunities for Adult Learners

Costs:
