Be a Part of the Solution

Right now, many adults throughout the region are low literate, which means that more than half struggle to follow written instructions or complete a form – such as a job application.
Meanwhile, most jobs now require intermediate literacy skills or higher.

What can we do about it?

Be a part of the solution and join the discussion at a free event sponsored by the Verizon Foundation. Employers, adult educators, and workforce and economic development experts from the region will gather in Philadelphia to discuss solutions to the literacy problem. Presentations will include technology and tools for educators, parents and students, research on literacy in the region, and initiatives by employers.
