CAEL Forum and News
The CAEL Forum and News publishes articles three
times per year on public policy advancements for education,
prior learning assessment, workforce development strategies
and results, benchmarking studies, colleges and universities
experiences with assessment, national and international adult
learning, research in adult learning, organizational initiative
updates as well as current book reviews.
Submissions
The editors of the CAEL Forum and News invite submissions
on all of the topics mentioned above will consider any articles
within the scope of experiential learning and/or the pursuit
of it in government, colleges and universities, communities,
and organizations. (Themes can include: experiential learning,
assessment, adult education, workforce development, distance
learning, higher education, and
public policy.)
Guidelines for Submission
All manuscripts submitted will be considered for publication.
The editors evaluate submissions for the CAEL Forum and
News on the following points: writing style and readability,
appropriate length, clarity of presentation, and appropriateness
for the publication. We may also contact writers for revisions
and changes.
- Book reviews and other short general interest pieces
(event announcements and invitations): 500 to 600 words
or roughly three pages double spaced; topic of the book
should be related to the topics mentioned in the opening
paragraph above; books can be recommended by the editors
for those interested in writing a review who are uncertain
about what product to select
- Feature articles: a minimum of 1,800 words or eight pages
double spaced; all pages should be numbered consecutively
We request that all manuscripts be submitted on 3.5 inch
disks or CD-ROMs in Microsoft Word 6.0 or higher. Please label
the disk with the following information: file name of the
article, author/authors’ names, and the article title.
A hard copy of the article must also be included along with
the same information noted in the previous sentence. Articles
may also be submitted via e-mail with a hard copy to follow
in the mail, see below for details.

CAEL membership. Non-members and individuals may also order
subscriptions to the magazine prepaid for $15 per year.
