Director, Initiative Design
As director of initiative design at CAEL, Claire Linnemeier supports internal CAEL teams responsible for revenue generation via partnerships with postsecondary organizations, workforce and economic development groups, and employers, as well as funding relationships with foundations and other funders. She shapes initiative concepts based on partner and funder needs and she develops scope and pricing for proposals. Linnemeier has a background that ranges from policy and advocacy work to workforce and economic development consulting and strategic planning.
Prior to CAEL, Linnemeier worked in Indiana for Strategic Development Group, Inc. and at Thomas P. Miller & Associates – both consulting firms that focus primarily on economic development and planning, and workforce development and labor market data analysis at local, regional, and national levels. She has worked with a wide variety of clients in public, private and non-profit sectors with topics ranging from Housing Needs Assessments to Manufacturing Supply Chain Analyses. Linnemeier has facilitated several community focus groups, planning sessions, and interviews with key stakeholders. She also has worked within higher education, at the University Institutional Research & Reporting Office at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
An Indiana native, Linnemeier received a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the School of Public & Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University.
