About Us
Our Team
The CAEL team draws great strength from its varied set of backgrounds and skills. But we hold one very important quality in common: dedicated expertise in forging the connections between learning and work that adult learners—and their communities—depend on for social mobility and economic equity.
Lana Munip
Senior Research Director
Lana Munip joined CAEL in 2022 as Senior Research Director. Munip is a co-author of Speed, Value and Economic Mobility, a CAEL research report that explores how community colleges develop high-value, stackable non-degree credentials. She is currently working on a mixed methods study of the experiences of adult learners in financing their education, examining the impact of institutional practices and state and federal policies on their progress.
Munip previously served as Analysis and Planning Consultant and Assistant Editor with The Pennsylvania State University Libraries, where she led various qualitative and quantitative research projects related to the library system. Skilled in data analysis, data visualization, qualitative research, planning & assessment, and communications, Munip also is an NVIVO 12 certified expert. She spent her early career as a journalist in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
