Trace Downey, J.D.
Trace Downey joined CAEL in 2022. In his role as contract manager, he oversees CAEL's legal document review, approval, and contract execution processes. Downey has an experienced background in corporate compliance and contract management. He is well-versed in learning and development, legal affairs, policy development, project management and program development.
Downey received a bachelor’s in communications from the University of Utah, with an emphasis in journalism. He earned his J.D. from the Quinney School of Law at the University of Utah, where he received multiple awards in counseling and negotiation and interned for the ACLU of Utah, where he assisted on cases before the Utah Supreme Court. Downey enjoys hiking, reading, fishing, and taking his chocolate Miniature Schnauzer (Mocha) on walks.
