Washington Monthly recently released its list of America’s best colleges for adult learners, highlighting the importance of recognizing academic institutions that provide support for students 25-years-old or older, a demographic that makes up more than 40 percent of U.S. college students.
Topping Washington Monthly’s list is San Francisco’s Golden Gate University. This week San Francisco Business Times highlighted Golden State University’s distinction, noting its flexible class schedules, daycare services, ease of transferring credits and special services for older adults as defining characteristics that earned the institution top billing.
Golden State University joins a growingnumber of institutions to be recognized by local media for their efforts to ease the degree completion process for adult learners.
