Welcome 2017 with a Webinar on Adult Student Support Assessment
Last fall, Washington Monthly released its Best Colleges for Adult Learners rankings, a first for the magazine and a significant step toward universal recognition of the needs of the adult student—a growing population that deserves our support. In developing its ranking methodology, Washington Monthly reached out to CAEL for insight into institutional support adult students need for success. Informed by CAEL’s Adult Learning Focused Institution (ALFI) survey tools, instruments institutions can use to compare their institutions’ perceptions against their adult students’ satisfaction with their programs, Washington Monthly developed assessment criteria aligned with the principles that form the foundation of ALFI.
On Wednesday, January 11 at 1:30 pm CST, CAEL’s president and CEO Pamela Tate will host a CAEL members-only webinar, Washington Monthly Adult Learner Rankings: Assessing Adult Student Support, to discuss those principles and the underlying best practices for serving the adult learner that inspired them. At the conclusion of her presentation, Tate will answer webinar attendee questions about adult student support and ALFI.
In addition to a host of other benefits, CAEL members receive access to members-only webinars like Washington Monthly Adult Learner Rankings: Assessing Adult Student Support, which provide insight into the latest research on the adult learner and best practices to encourage degree completion.
