From 10 founding institutions 50 years ago to a network that today spans all 50 states plus Puerto Rico, Canada, Jamaica, Singapore, and Ireland, members have defined the essence of CAEL. To help celebrate its semicentennial, CAEL is highlighting individuals and institutions who have contributed to its legacy as a membership organization. The Community College of Vermont and Florida International University, each a CAEL founding member, are just two examples.
Another one is CAEL’s Membership Appreciation Month, kicking off on Monday. It follows last year’s Membership Appreciation Week, which marked the first-ever calendar commemoration devoted to CAEL members. It was soon apparent that, even in a normal year, celebrating the impact CAEL members have throughout the education-employment ecosystem merits more than one week out of the calendar. But 2024, abundant in opportunities to reflect on five decades of member-driven success, is an ideal year to debut a monthlong membership celebration. For the next four weeks, members will enjoy special networking opportunities, member-exclusive promotions and events, the unveiling of a new member benefit, and more.
The month brings good news for current non-members, too. Through the end of June, new members receive a 10% discount on CAEL membership. They can receive the discount by emailing membershipservices@cael.org and mentioning this promotion. New members will have immediate access to all the benefits of CAEL membership plus these special events during June:
