65 Million Reasons Why Intent Matters Most: Adding On to the Largest National Survey of Prospective Adult Students

Webinar:  June 11, 2026, 3 PM EST

Description:

Thanks to funding provided by the Lumina Foundation, CAEL and CollegeAPP recently published “65 Million Reasons Why Intent Matters Most: Adding On to the Largest National Survey of Prospective Adult Students,” an updated view of demand for postsecondary education and training for adult learners via an analysis of over 300,000 nationwide survey responses. It builds upon the foundational insights of the fall 2022 Intent Matters: Avoiding the Enrollment Cliff report, which covered CollegeAPP’s first 150,000 survey responses and provided insights on who intended to enroll in college. Ultimately, it seeks to help identify key prospective adult student subgroups and deliver evidence-based implications for policies and practices that can expand college access and success for adult learners. Join Beth Doyle, Chief of Higher Education Strategy, and Jack MacKenzie, Founder & CEO of CollegeAPP, in a discussion on why understanding learners’ intent can lead to actionable strategies for enrollment growth.

Presenters: Dr. Beth Doyle, Chief of Higher Education Strategy, CAEL, and Jack MacKenzie, Founder & CEO of CollegeAPP
