Karen Gross, Author, Educational Commentator, and Senior Counsel at Finn Partners

Karen Gross is an educator, author and speaker. She is the former president of a small college in Vermont and Senior Policy Advisor to the U.S. Department of Education. Her areas of expertise include trauma and student success and strategies for enabling improved student outcomes. She is the author of "Breakaway Learners" (Columbia Teachers College Press 2017) and the forthcoming "Trauma Does Not Stop at the School Door" (Columbia Teachers College June 2020).
