INDIANAPOLIS – Matt Waltz, an expert in developing high-impact, revenue-generating partnerships to carry out education-to-career strategies and cross-sector collaborations that benefit adult learners and their communities, has joined the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) as vice president of partnerships. At CAEL, he will draw upon his significant experience in managing teams and creating systems to support them. His previous leadership roles, which span the nonprofit and corporate sectors, also include frequent, mutually beneficial engagement with local, state, and federal agencies.

“Matt is skilled and experienced in forging holistic agreements among diverse stakeholders to drive equitable economic growth for regions throughout the country, particularly in support of work-relevant educational enhancements, which are at the forefront of opportunities for adult learners,” said Jack Mills, senior vice president of partnerships, impact, and insights for CAEL. “His leadership and relational abilities are great additions to CAEL’s mission.”

Prior to joining CAEL, Waltz served as chief operating officer and director of administration for WRTP|BIG STEP, where he managed partnership programs and provided technical assistance across the country at local, state, and federal government levels. During his nine-year tenure there, he procured multi-year contracts and grants from government agencies such as the Department of Labor, Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, and other government agencies and private entities. Earlier in his career, he led business development and customer experience initiatives at Pro Motorsports.
