CAEL Partnership Highlighted in Apple’s Annual Supply Chain Progress Report

Apple’s supply chain spans more than 50 countries, thousands of businesses, and millions of workers. To uphold Apple’s values throughout this extensive network, the company maintains a supplier code of conduct. As stated in People and Environment in Our Supply Chain, Apple’s 2025 annual progress report, the company is “building a supply chain that not only safeguards people’s dignity and rights, but also helps them learn new skills, find community, and advance in their jobs.”

For example, Apple’s $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund helps supply chain employees gain valuable career skills. More than 8 million supply chain employees have accessed educational opportunities under the program since 2008.

Apple’s annual report notes that such impact “requires collaboration and a shared commitment to upholding the rights of people everywhere.” It mentions several examples of such partnerships, including its work with CAEL on “English language trainings and skills development initiatives among supplier employees across the United States.”

The partnership with Apple is an important component of CAEL’s work to ensure that adult learners and workers have access to the learning opportunities that sustain healthy talent pipelines and inclusive career advancement within sectors critical to the national economy.
