The CAEL Forum and News Editorial Board is Seeking Article Proposals
by CAEL on Feb 15, 2018
The CAEL Forum and News publishes one print issue per year and the Forum and News Editorial Board is now seeking article proposals for the 2018 print issue, which will be published in late Fall 2018. The focus of this issue will be three of CAEL's Ten Principles for Effectively Serving Adult Learners.
The three principles that are the focus of this issue are:
- Student Outreach. New ways for conducting outreach to adult learners by overcoming barriers in time, place and tradition. This topic can also include adult student enrollment and orientation strategies.
- Financing. Innovation in providing different financing/payment options for adult learners to expand equity and financial flexibility. Also, strategies for providing financial guidance to avoid student loan debt.
- Adaptivity. Examples of institutions adjusting to shifting external market forces and adapting to the changing expectations of internal stakeholders, students, and employers'understanding the needs of those they serve by developing creative academic solutions. This topic could also cover examples of effective change management to accompany adult learner innovations.
Authors are encouraged to choose one of the three topics for an article.
