A Collage of Collaboration: Connecting Dots in the Workforce Ecosystem

AI and other technologies are reworking the workforce landscape. Tracking the resulting changes can seem overwhelming. Fortunately, one of these changes is a growing awareness that strategic alignment among education and employment is not a luxury. It is a necessity. This mindset makes it much easier for the workforce ecosystem to adapt rather than simply react. 

Connecting sometimes disparate dots is at the heart of CAEL’s mission. Bridging gaps between education and employment requires collaboration that scales individual efforts into collective impact that is greater than the sum of its parts. In a June 12 article for The EvoLLLution, Patricia Wallace, CAEL’s senior vice president of initiatives and membership, shares some recent examples of how the organization is connecting the dots to inspire transformative change. 

They include work with the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, CAEL’s new joint membership agreement with Apprenticeships for America, an apprenticeship pathway between the Machinists Institute and Renton Technical College, career pathways mapping for Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the Build Better Careers initiative, a microcredentials initiative with Greater Lafayette Commerce, and a partnership with the Detroit Regional Chamber.
